Fall Community Events in Indianapolis
There are tons of fun community events to check out in the area. No need to stay cooped up in your house when you could be out exploring and checking out all the great goings on in the city of Indianapolis. Here are a few to put on your calendar now so you don’t forget or miss out.

Scarecrows on Parade
Hosted by the Zionsville Merchants Association, Scarecrows on Parade features a collection of unique and inventive scarecrows designed by local residents. Bring your camera along to capture the fun because the streets come alive this fall.
Fishers Renaissance Fair
In honor of their sister city Billericay, England, Fishers, Indiana hosts this annual renaissance fair where participants can experience the history, lifestyles and ceremonies of Elizabethan England.
Annual Indianapolis Fall Boat & RV Show
This four-day event is for anyone who hopes to own a boat or rv in the near future. You can check out a huge selection of new and used year-end models for these vehicles. It’ll be held on the Indiana State Fairground and you can check out their exhibitor list online before you go. You can also print a coupon for $2 off admission.

Circle City Classic
The battle with the pigskin takes places at the newest special events venue in Indianapolis, Lucas Oil Stadium! Best known as the home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, nearly 65,000 fans will gather for the faceoff between the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs and the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers.
Heartland Film Festival
With the Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis, the city will play host to filmmakers from around the world. There will be exciting special events for the entire family but the feature will of course be the independent films and the international long and short films. The American Boy in the Striped Pajamas will be the film that opens the festival and you can enjoy it for as little as $12. Tickets are available online.
Grape Harvest Festival
These grape-inspired festivities include wine tastings, food and wine paring demonstrations, live jazz performances and of course winery tours!
